Corrections
Data publishes datasets, not arguments, so a disputed figure is handled as a correction, not a right of reply. Anyone may raise one: readers, and people or institutions in the data alike. Every dispute is checked against the original source. A confirmed error becomes a new version; a released dataset is never changed in place, and the old version stays available, marked as superseded. Each dataset keeps a changelog of what changed in every version and why (not who reported it), and its page links to that changelog.
